For those of you that don’t know me I am the world’s biggest lover of chocolate and unfortunately when you are intolerant to sugar, yeast and dairy chocolate is not your friend. Therefore my new found love is Cacao or in other words, raw chocolate powder before sugar has been added. My kids love smoothies and they are a great way to add and disguise loads of nutritious foods like avocado (vitamin E), spinach (magnesium), chia seeds (omega 3), coconut oil (anti-fungal) and of course Cacao. Cacao is full of anti-oxidants which protect the body from ageing and disease caused by free radicals. The cacao bean is also rich in magnesium, an energy mineral and vital electrolyte. This super-food is also a good source of sulphur which is responsible for strong nails, shiny hair and a healthy liver and pancreas.
